Back pain is the most common cause of disability worldwide. It is estimated that Americans spend around $50 billion each year in attempt to fix their back pain.
In 2017 lower back pain cost me $5000 and two weeks of missed work, this prompted me to begin learning about the best possible ways to avoid this same physical, mental, and financial burden in the future.
The good news is that most back pain is acute (short term) and can be resolved usually after a couple of weeks (w/ proper rest).
The problem is that our life consists of responsibilities that do not care if our back hurts. Work, children, sports, no matter what our occupations consist of we must fulfill our life duties.
Back pain sucks, and unfortunately there is no magic cure.
If you truly want to decrease your back pain you must understand why you are in pain and you must work to address your symptoms by performing a functional exercise program.
Exercise along with environmental and ergonomic modifications can significantly decrease the amount of back pain you experience.
These are exercises, tips and strategies that I personally implemented into my own daily routine in order to address problems I have had with back pain. Use these suggestions and this program as you continue learning to decrease your own back pain and increase your quality of life.
